Iran Should Not Pursue a Passive Policy with Azerbaijan, Iranian Cleric

Condemning the attack on the Azerbaijani Embassy in Tehran, the Friday prayer leader of Gombede-Kavous, Hojjat-ol-Islam Mahmoud Torabi, stated that this small republic, alongside Iraqi Kurdistan, has the most pro-Israel government and is subject to the Zionist occupying regime.

“Some of the terrorists arrested during the recent terrorism and unrest in Shiraz entered Iranian territory with Azerbaijani passports. The Islamic Republic should not pursue a passive policy towards representatives of this country,” the cleric said.
