Snow, Blizzards, and Low Horizontal Visibility Expected
Due to the active cyclone penetrating into the territory of Armenia from the Mediterranean Sea, snow is expected in most parts of the republic after noon on February 2, continuing into the evening and the night of February 2-3.
Intense snow is anticipated in Lori, mountainous areas of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Gegharkunik, and Vayots Dzor, with wind gusts reaching 18-20 m/s in isolated areas, causing blizzards and low horizontal visibility. This information comes from the Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center.
In the Ararat Plain and Yerevan, wet snow and mixed precipitation are expected after noon, transitioning to snow in the evening and the coming night.
On the night of February 2-3 and in the morning, black ice is forecasted on the republic's roads, prompting drivers to exercise caution.
Precipitation is expected to cease across the entire territory of the republic on the afternoon of February 3.
