Ukrainian Athlete Criticized for Dancing After Victory
American mixed martial artist Belal Muhammad has criticized Ukrainian fighter Igor Lusei for dancing after defeating former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion, Brazilian Mauricio Rua.
The 41-year-old Rua's bout was his last in his professional career, according to Gazeta.ru. Canadian UFC fighter Tanner Boser also accused Lusei of disrespectful behavior. “You shouldn't do stupid dances when you beat a legend like Shogun in his farewell fight,” wrote the Canadian on social media.
On the night of January 22, the Ukrainian athlete defeated Rua by technical knockout in the first round at UFC 283. Afterward, he celebrated his victory by dancing in the octagon.
