Karen Khachanov Reaches Quarterfinals of Australian Open
The Russian tennis player of Armenian descent, Karen Khachanov, has celebrated his fourth victory at the Australian Open. In the fourth round of the men's singles at this year's first Grand Slam tournament, Khachanov faced Japan's Yoshihito Nishioka and achieved victory in just three sets, with scores of 6-0, 6-0, 7-6. The match lasted only 2 hours.
The Australian Open is one of the four major tournaments in the tennis Grand Slam calendar. It is held in Melbourne, Australia, on hard courts. The Australian Open was first held in 1905. In 2022, Rafael Nadal won the men's singles title, while Ashleigh Barty claimed victory in the women's competition.
