Maria Gevorgyan Becomes Champion of Armenia's Chess Championship
Maria Gevorgyan has emerged as the champion of the 78th Women's Chess Championship of Armenia, held at the Tigran Petrosian Chess House in 2023.
In the final 9th round of the championship, Maria faced Nvard Hayrapetyan, defeating her to secure the title.
Gevorgyan collected 7 points out of a possible 9, thus becoming the champion of Armenia. This marks Gevorgyan’s fifth time winning the Armenian championship.
