Influential Women of the World to Visit Armenia Next Year
Our country is ready to host the "Second International Forum of Influential Women." This was announced by the wife of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Anna Hakobyan, during her speech in Iran. The information was provided by the Embassy of Armenia in Iran on its official Facebook page.
The First Lady of Iran welcomed Anna Hakobyan's idea of holding the next forum in Armenia. Thus, the second forum will take place in our country within the next year.
“At the end of the forum, a memorandum was signed, according to which all participating countries will cooperate in the fields of science, culture, healthcare, and sports. According to the document, a platform and fund for gender equality will be created, where the collected funds will be awarded to the winners of the annual festival,” the message stated.
After the conclusion of the forum, the Prime Minister's wife and the First Lady of Iran had a private conversation. They agreed to follow up on the organizational efforts to hold the forum in Armenia.
It is worth noting that during her speech at the forum, Anna Hakobyan addressed the situation in Artsakh. She spoke about the blockade of the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia and emphasized that all these actions aim to ethnically cleanse the Armenians living in Artsakh. She appealed to the influential women participants and stressed that a decisive and condemnatory response from the entire international community is needed to prevent these actions.
Notably, more than 300 women from various countries participated in the final plenary session of the forum, including representatives from science, culture, and healthcare, as well as high-ranking female officials, ministers, and First Ladies.
