Soldier Injured by Enemy Fire in Yeraskh Has His Life Saved
A soldier who was wounded by enemy fire at a combat position in Yeraskh has undergone surgery at the Ararat Medical Center. Arayik Sardaryan, the director of the Ararat Medical Center, informed News.am that the contract soldier has been transferred to Yerevan. "Both the life and the leg were successfully saved. The hospital doctors arrived in time, performed the surgery, and transferred him to the Muratsan Military Hospital," he stated.
Sardaryan noted that the soldier's injury involved the blood vessels in the groin area of his leg.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that at around 10:50 a.m. today, a soldier of Military Unit N of the Ministry of Defense received a gunshot wound at a combat position in Yeraskh.
The Ministry of Defense has indicated that the soldier's condition is assessed as serious. An investigation is underway to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
