Mirzoyan and Georgian Foreign Minister Meet: What Was Discussed
On January 12, within the framework of the Armenian-Georgian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, a meeting took place between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Ilia Darchiashvili expressed satisfaction with the high level of Armenian-Georgian relations, based on centuries-old friendship and shared values, and exchanged ideas on further expansion and deepening of cooperation.
The parties addressed efforts undertaken to strengthen trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and Georgia, emphasizing the role of the Armenian-Georgian intergovernmental commission.
During the meeting, a number of issues related to regional security and stability were also discussed. Ararat Mirzoyan presented to his Georgian counterpart the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Artsakh due to the blockade of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan since December 12, 2022.
