Iran Welcomes Talks Between Syria and Turkey
Iran welcomes the negotiations between Syria and Turkey, stated Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian during a joint press conference with his Lebanese counterpart Abdallah Bou Habib, according to Mehr.
“We are pleased with the dialogue between Syria and Turkey and welcome any discussions and negotiations to resolve issues between the two countries,” he said.
He emphasized that the Astana format should be strengthened to address existing issues, allowing for Syria's participation.
It is worth noting that the first negotiations between the defense ministers of Turkey and Syria in the last 11 years took place in Russia in December 2022.
