French National Assembly President to Visit Armenia
From January 12 to 14, the President of the French National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet, will visit Armenia on an official trip at the invitation of her Armenian counterpart, Alen Simonian. She will be accompanied by a delegation of French parliamentarians involved in Armenian-French relations. This has been announced by the French Embassy in Armenia.
The purpose of the visit is to strengthen the ties between the two parliaments and affirm France's solidarity with Armenia in the current challenging context. The National Assembly president is scheduled to meet with her Armenian counterpart, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan.
Ms. Braun-Pivet will visit the Genocide Memorial and meet with representatives of civil society. She will also visit the Home of the Soldier and the French University in Armenia.
