RA National Assembly President Alen Simonyan stated in a conversation with reporters today that the authorities of Artsakh are in direct contact with representatives of the Azerbaijani authorities, as well as with representatives of the Russian peacekeeping forces, in one way or another. "There have been and there are contacts. At this moment, they have decreased, but they exist," he mentioned.

In response to the question regarding Ruben Vardanyan's statement that there are no negotiations, Simonyan remarked: "Probably Ruben Vardanyan is referring to himself, because they won't negotiate with him, most likely considering the statements. I won’t disclose the name of the negotiator right now, nor can I, because until recently I knew who was speaking and how they were speaking. There was also a connection with the President of Artsakh, there are various channels through which these conversations… it couldn't be otherwise. Now, if I say that there haven’t been any and there will never be, that would be a lie. It’s clear that they are communicating and in some way engaged in dialogue," stated the NA president.
