"There Will Be No Third World War, We Will Halt Russian Aggression on Our Land" - Zelensky

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, was invited to the Golden Globe Awards. He participated in the event, held in the USA, via virtual connection, as reported by Variety.

During the event, Zelensky was introduced by the Hollywood Oscar-winning actor-director Sean Penn, who met with Zelensky in Kyiv last November to express his support for the country.

Zelensky then addressed the attendees with a recorded message: "It is now 2023... Ahead there are still battles and tears, but I can confidently say now who has been the best this year: they are the free people of the free world. Those who united around supporting the free Ukrainian people in our common struggle for freedom." The audience applauded.

"There will be no Third World War, this is not a trinity. Ukraine will halt Russian aggression on our land," Zelensky concluded.
