Aliyev's Statement Was a Clear Confession, Says Marukyan

During a speech yesterday about the blockade of the Lachin corridor, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated: "If some of them do not want to become citizens of Azerbaijan, the Lachin road is open; they can leave on their own, no one will stop them, or they can leave with the help of peacekeepers' trucks, by bus." With this statement, the autocrat confessed that the authorities are the ones who closed the Lachin corridor with the aim of ethnically cleansing Artsakh.

Special envoy Edmon Marukyan commented on Aliyev's statement, saying, "Aliyev's statement regarding the blockade of the Lachin corridor was a clear confession of the ethnic cleansing carried out at the state level. He said the road is open for those who do not wish to become citizens of Azerbaijan. They can leave by car or on buses with Russian peacekeepers," Marukyan wrote on his Twitter page.

It is worth noting that Azerbaijan has blocked the Lachin corridor for a month now.
