Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo has stated that his "work in Europe is already done," and playing for Saudi club Al Nassr will present a new challenge for him.

"My work in Europe is complete, I have won everything. Now this is a new challenge for me," Ronaldo said on January 3, as reported by Sky Sports.

The Portuguese striker has signed a contract with Saudi Al Nassr. According to Marca, negotiations between Ronaldo and the club began in November during the World Cup in Qatar. The report states that the club has signed the athlete to a 2.5-year contract until 2025. The deal is said to be worth nearly 200 million euros per season.

Ronaldo himself has expressed happiness about moving to the new club and is inspired by the work of the football team. Additionally, according to Marca, Ronaldo could be loaned to Newcastle if the team secures a Champions League spot, as there is a clause in his contract allowing for this possibility.
