Trade Between Armenia and Russia Continues to Decline: Ovechkin
Trade turnover between Russia and Armenia has sharply decreased, dropping by two-thirds compared to the previous year. This was stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Ovechkin.
"The developing situation in the EAEU and Armenia's relations was predictable," Ovechkin said at a press conference in Cholpon-Ata. According to him, the Russian side had repeatedly warned its partners in Yerevan about the possibility of such developments over the past 3-4 years.
In 2024, trade turnover between Russia and Armenia reached a record high of nearly $12 billion, which was a significant figure. Last year, it dropped to $8 billion.
