Since December 12, Nagorno-Karabakh Exists Outside the World's Borders
Fear of endless isolation, fear of losing everything, seeing your country crumble, annexed, and then consumed. Armenians fear such a scenario, and there are reasons for that.
Since December 12, Nagorno-Karabakh has existed outside the world's borders. The Armenian enclave is under blockade, forced into a state of autonomy, all amid global indifference. This is reported by La Marseillaise.
The blockade of the Lachin Corridor, the only road connecting to Armenia, by Azerbaijan has plunged around 120,000 residents into darkness, cold, and need. There is an urgent need for gasoline, medicines, and food, and the contours of a large-scale humanitarian crisis are becoming increasingly clear.
