Putin Awards Margarita Simonyan

RT television network and "Russia Today" chief editor Margarita Simonyan has been awarded the Order of Honor by the President of Russia.

The award was presented to Simonyan by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin. The President also awarded temporary officials of the LPR and DPR, Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik, as well as the temporary heads of the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, Yevgeny Balitsky and Vladimir Saldo, with the 1st and 2nd class orders for services to the Fatherland.

The highest degree of the Order for Services to the Fatherland was awarded to Radi Ilkaev, the honorary scientific supervisor of the federal nuclear center in Sarov, Metropolitan Juvenaly (Poyarkov), and the temporary leaders of the Luhansk People's Republic and the Donetsk People's Republic, Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin.

Journalist and head of the "WarGonzo" project, Semyon Pegov, and Channel One correspondent Irina Sokirkova have received the Order of Courage.
