Former Brazil national team forward Ronaldo has commented on Argentine forward Lionel Messi's performance following Argentina's victory over France in the final of the 2022 World Cup.
“This guy's football demolishes any competition. I saw so many Brazilians and people from all around the world who were cheering for Messi in this wonderful final. A worthy farewell to a genius, who was not only a star of the World Cup but also of an entire era,” Ronaldo wrote on social media.
The 35-year-old World Cup winner Messi was recognized as the best player of the tournament held in Qatar. The Argentine played 7 matches in the tournament, scoring seven goals and providing three assists.
