There Have Been Years When December Days Recorded -25 to -30 Degrees Frost: Surenyans

The head of the Hydrometeorological Center of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations, Gagik Surenyans, posted on his Facebook page: “There have been years, for example in 1994, when during these December days, temperatures in the mountainous regions of the republic were recorded at -25 to -30 degrees, while in the Ararat Plain and Yerevan, temperatures dropped to -18 to -20 degrees.”

It is important to note that according to the Ministry’s data, on December 5, precipitation is expected in some regions, with snowfall anticipated in mountainous areas, Lori, Tavush, and Syunik. In certain regions, fog is also expected. Between December 6-9, the weather is predicted to be dry.

The wind will be from the northeast at 2-5 m/s. The air temperature in Lori, Tavush, Syunik, and Artsakh on December 5 is expected to drop by 3-5 degrees.

Weather in the RA regions and Artsakh: In Yerevan, there is expected to be dry weather on December 5 during the day, and from 6-9, no precipitation is anticipated. However, on the night of December 5, precipitation and fog are expected.
