Photographs: Biden's granddaughter weds at the White House with around 250 guests in attendance
The wedding ceremony of U.S. President Joe Biden's granddaughter, Naomi Biden, was held at the White House, attended by family members and friends. According to the Daily Mail, the event was closed to the press, despite taking place on public property. This was the first wedding at the White House in the past two decades and the 19th wedding overall.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds, Naomi and Peter, posed for photographs in the White House's south portico. Both wore outfits from Ralph Lauren, with 28-year-old Naomi in a long-sleeved white wedding dress with a veil, and 25-year-old Peter in a three-piece suit. Naomi was accompanied by her father, Hunter Biden.
The decor was entirely natural, featuring green foliage and white flowers. The ceremony lasted about an hour, surrounded by approximately 250 guests. President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden released a statement regarding the occasion: “We are filled with pride to see that she has chosen Peter as her husband, and we are honored to welcome him into our family. We wish them joyful days and deepening love in the years ahead,” the statement read.
