VIDEO: Pashinyan Responds to Aliyev's Threats
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan began today’s government session by responding to Ilham Aliyev's speech made two days ago. He highlighted that Aliyev's statements further confirm that the geopolitical ambitions of the Azerbaijani authorities continue to pose a threat to the security and stability of the South Caucasus and the region.
“The speech, filled with vague threats directed at the international community and targeted threats towards the Republic of Armenia, where the President of Azerbaijan attempts to blame Armenia and our government for not fulfilling agreements and obligations, indicates the diametrically opposite,” said Pashinyan. “Moreover, Aliyev's declarations came the day after the meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers, facilitated by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and discussions on a potential peace agreement, at a time when representatives of both sides had not even returned to their capitals.”
