If Moscow Withdraws from the 'Grain Deal', Russia Will Supply Grain to Poor Countries, Putin
If Moscow withdraws from the 'grain deal', Russia is ready to supply grain to the poorest countries, stated Russian President Vladimir Putin, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“Even if Russia withdraws from this deal, we are, as previously stated, ready to supply the entire volume of grain that has been delivered from Ukrainian territory to the poorest countries. And that is only 4 percent,” Putin said at a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council.
“If we withdraw from this agreement due to Ukraine violating its obligations, we will provide the entire volume that has been delivered to the poorest countries free of charge,” he added.
Earlier, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan announced that an agreement had been reached on the restoration of the 'grain corridor' following negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and discussions between the defense ministers of Turkey and Russia.
On Wednesday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Russia is resuming its participation in the food deal. On October 30, Russia had announced the suspension of its participation in the export of products from Ukrainian ports.
