We've Signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Natural Gas Sector: Sanosyan
Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Minister Gnel Sanosyan has made a statement. He specifically wrote:
“We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the natural gas sector with Majid Chegini, Deputy Minister of Oil of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Director of the National Gas Company.”
Iran and Armenia have signed a memorandum regarding economic cooperation in the energy sector, agreeing to extend the gas and electricity supply permissions between the two countries until the end of the year.
It is noted that Iran currently exports one million cubic meters of gas to Armenia, which will double. Iranian gas is processed in Armenia for electricity intended for export to the IRI. The exchange of electricity between the two countries will be extended until 2030.
