Urban Non-Working Mothers to Receive 31,600 Dram Monthly
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia has announced that, in addition to rural parents, urban non-working mothers will also receive childcare benefits for children under the age of 2.
◉ Individual entrepreneurs or those working under civil contracts will also receive 31,600 dram in childcare benefits, regardless of their registration location.
◉ If the child was born on or after January 1, 2023, and the mother is not working, she will receive a monthly payment of 31,600 dram.
◉ If the mother is employed but on parental leave, she will still receive 31,600 dram. However, if she returns to work from parental leave, the monthly benefit will increase to 37,500 dram.
◉ Parents from rural areas on parental leave will receive 63,200 dram monthly.
◉ Employed rural parents who are not on parental leave will receive a childcare benefit of 69,100 dram monthly.
