Margarita Simonyan's Entry to Armenia Forbidden
The editor-in-chief of RT, Margarita Simonyan, stated that the Armenian authorities have banned her from entering the country, as reported by RBC.
“Konstantin Zatulin, who has been a fierce supporter of Armenia for many years, has been banned from entering the country by the current leadership of Armenia. By the way, so have I,” she wrote on her Telegram channel.
Earlier, on October 25, a corporate letter was sent by Konstantin Zatulin, a member of 'United Russia' and the first deputy chairman of the CIS Affairs Committee, to Tigran Seyranyan, the head of the External Relations Department of the Armenian National Assembly. The letter indicated that his visit to Armenia would be undesirable.
“Your recent public statements against the Republic of Armenia are damaging to the development of friendly and allied relations between our countries,” Seyranyan’s letter stated.
