VIDEO: It's Time to Admit That We Might Not Succeed, Says Pashinyan on Exiting Nagorno-Karabakh from Azerbaijan
During a session of the National Assembly, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed criticisms regarding his statement that "Artsakh is Armenia, and that's it." He noted, "In the preamble of the 1990 Armenian Declaration of Independence, references are made to the decisions of the Supreme Council of the Armenian SSR and the National Council of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast concerning the reunification of Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia. The fact that representatives of the previous government direct their harshest criticism towards me regarding this matter indicates that they are admitting possession of a document regarding the annulment of the content of the Declaration of Independence at the moment my government took office and made that statement—all previous negotiators, without exception."
Pashinyan asserted that all accusations directed at them should be aimed at the accusers themselves: "The negotiation paper left on the table by Serge Sargsyan, if evaluated based on those criteria and formulas, was a surrender document. Serge Sargsyan left a document of capitulation on the table and departed."
