Biden and Erdoğan's Advisers Discuss Peace Talks Between Armenia and Azerbaijan
In Istanbul, U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met with Turkish President's spokesman and chief adviser Ibrahim Kalin, the White House reports.
They discussed their ongoing support for Ukraine, condemning Russia's illegal attempts to annex Ukrainian territories.
Sullivan and Kalin addressed regional security issues, including support for peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to resolve disagreements in the Eastern Mediterranean, and the progress of Finland and Sweden's NATO membership applications.
