Macron and Aliyev Hold Phone Conversation
French President Emmanuel Macron has held a phone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, following the recent meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the Élysée Palace. This information was reported by the Élysée Palace.
The French leader reiterated his call to his Azerbaijani counterpart to return to ceasefire compliance and maintain forces in their original positions, as recent clashes have resulted in numerous casualties. He also reminded of his demand to respect Armenia's territorial integrity.
Macron informed Aliyev about Prime Minister Pashinyan's readiness to continue negotiations on all unresolved issues and France's willingness to facilitate these discussions.
