Baku and Yerevan Must Sign Peace Agreement as Soon as Possible, Says Cavusoglu
Azerbaijan and Armenia must sign the comprehensive peace agreement proposed by Azerbaijan as soon as possible. This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu during a meeting with representatives of the Turkish community in Los Angeles.
“For peace and stability in the South Caucasus, a comprehensive peace agreement must be signed by Baku and Yerevan as soon as possible. We support this process,” the minister said.
Cavusoglu also mentioned the Armenian community in the United States, noting that while it is quite active, there is a group of Armenians in the U.S. opposed to normalizing relations with Turkey. However, if Armenia needs peace and cooperation in the region, it should evaluate this opportunity.
In this regard, Cavusoglu called on the Turkish community to be more active and to establish serious connections within the public and political life of the United States.
