Head of National Assembly Staff Received Warning After Issues During Pelosi's Press Conference
By the decision of the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonian, a warning has been issued to the head of the National Assembly staff, chief secretary Vahan Naribekian.
“Based on point 1 of part 1 of Article 223 of the Labor Code of the Republic of Armenia, and point 1 of sub-paragraph 18 of the annex to the National Assembly Council's decision No. ԱԺԽՈ-006-Լ dated June 12, 2017, I hereby order:
- For improper performance of work duties, to enforce a disciplinary sanction against Vahan Naribekian, the head of the National Assembly staff, by issuing a warning,” Simonian's decision states.
It should be noted that during the press conference of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi held in the National Assembly, technical issues occurred and the translation was not properly executed, while the head of the National Assembly staff was present on the platform designated for officials.
