Azerbaijan Supports Starting Peace Treaty Process with Armenia Without Delay - Bayramov
The authorities of Azerbaijan are ready to begin the drafting of a peace treaty with Armenia, announced Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. During negotiations with OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid at the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, he stated that Baku is prepared to start working on the text of the document despite the 'conflict' at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, as reported by Interfax-Azerbaijan.
'Despite the recent clashes and our losses, Azerbaijan is in favor of starting the peace treaty process without losing time,' Bayramov said. It is important to note that, according to official data, Armenia has suffered 135 casualties as a result of Baku's aggression.
