Lavrov and Abdollahian to Meet: What Will They Discuss?
On August 31, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, will make a working visit to Moscow, where he will hold talks with the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"It is expected that the ministers will discuss the implementation of key joint projects in the fields of energy and transport. The parties will also address the situation surrounding Iran's nuclear program and the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, as well as the situation in Ukraine, Syria, Afghanistan, and the South Caucasus," the ministry stated.
It is anticipated that there will be continued exchange of views on several contemporary international issues, including the circumstances surrounding Iran's nuclear program, the situation in Ukraine, Syria, Afghanistan, the South Caucasus, and the Caspian Sea," the ministry added.
