Numerous Steps Taken for Progress on Agreements, Michel
Our exchange of views was open and effective, and we reviewed the entire range of our agenda issues. This was stated by Charles Michel, President of the EU Council, regarding the meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
“Numerous steps have been taken for the progress of the agreements reached during our last meeting. Today we agreed to intensify substantive work aimed at facilitating the establishment of a peace treaty regulating inter-state relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” he said.
According to him, the EU is ready to further strengthen its support for long-term sustainable peace.
It should be noted that on August 31, in Brussels, a meeting took place between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, mediated by EU Council President Charles Michel.
