Baku Awaits the Route of the 'Zangezur Corridor': Aliyev
Baku expects to receive the route of the 'Zangezur Corridor' from Armenia in the coming weeks. This statement was made by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
“We need to start peaceful negotiations with Armenia. So far, we have not received a positive response, but I hope that we will. We need to create a delimitation commission. They were against it, but eventually agreed. The 'Zangezur Corridor' is necessary, but they were also against that. Now, in the coming weeks, we expect the route of the 'Zangezur Corridor' from them,” he said.
According to the Azerbaijani president, the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh is not part of the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. “...This does not concern Armenia. This is our internal issue. Today, there is absolutely no talk of any status at the negotiating table. The Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh will have no status, independence, or special privileges. They will be the same citizens of Azerbaijan,” Aliyev declared.
