Court Rejects Samvel Karapetyan's Appeal: Nazeli Baghdasaryan

The Court of Appeals has completely denied businessman Samvel Karapetyan's appeal, leaving the decision of the first-instance court unchanged. This was reported by Nazeli Baghdasaryan.

According to her, the Court of Appeals reaffirmed the position of the first-instance court, stating that her publication fell within the boundaries of freedom of speech.

Recall that Samvel Karapetyan approached the court due to Nazeli Baghdasaryan's post on Facebook dated June 17, 2025. Karapetyan demanded a public apology, a refutation, and compensation of 9 million drams.

In December 2025, the Court of General Jurisdiction in Lori Province dismissed Samvel Karapetyan's lawsuit, stating that Baghdasaryan's publication lacked defamation and insult.

Subsequently, Samvel Karapetyan appealed the decision of the first-instance court. Now, according to Nazeli Baghdasaryan, the Court of Appeals has also rejected Karapetyan's appeal and left the first-instance decision unchanged.
