Tehran will not accept any change in the geopolitics of the region, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated during a phone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This was reported by the IRNA agency.
“Referring to the statements of Iran's Supreme Leader during meetings with the leaders of the Russian Federation and Turkey, Raisi said that Iran does not accept any geopolitical changes in the region and is ready to use all its capabilities to establish peace and stability in the South Caucasus,” the agency wrote.
On the topic of the trilateral statement from November 9, 2020, the Iranian President declared that “the commitment of the parties to the ceasefire agreement and the resolution of remaining issues through dialogue and diplomacy is the best way to restore security and tranquility in the South Caucasus.”
It was noted that Pashinyan informed the Iranian President about the recent clashes between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces.
