VIDEO: 'If the West Wants Negotiations, It Must Acknowledge This' - Lavrov's Statement
Sergey Lavrov stated that the West is simply not allowing Ukraine to enter a peaceful process. There is nothing to discuss with Western countries if they want to defeat Russia on the battlefield regarding the situation surrounding Ukraine. This was said by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to reporters following the G20 meeting.
"If the West does not want negotiations but desires a Ukrainian victory over Russia on the battlefield, then there is likely nothing to discuss with the West, as this approach essentially prevents Ukraine from entering a peaceful process," Lavrov said.
It is noteworthy that on the early morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the decision to conduct a special military operation against Ukraine, following requests for assistance from the LPR and DPR. Combat operations in Ukraine have already been ongoing for the 135th day.
