Procedure for Obtaining Armenian Citizenship Simplified

The procedure for obtaining Armenian citizenship has been simplified. From now on, individuals applying for citizenship will only need to perform a single action: submit a combined application and questionnaire. This decision was made today, July 7, during the government's regular session.

According to the adopted resolution, several technical changes have been made concerning the procedure for verifying knowledge of the Armenian Constitution and the Armenian language for individuals receiving Armenian citizenship.

Instead of submitting a separate application and completing a questionnaire, the applicant will now only need to present a single application-questionnaire, which will include both the application and the already completed questionnaire.

The purpose of this decision is to simplify the administrative process and establish a single unified document, which is also in line with changes made to the Law on Citizenship of the Republic of Armenia effective from June 25 of this year.
