No Progress in Negotiations with Armenia, Bayramov States
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, has declared that there is a lack of significant progress in negotiations regarding a peace treaty with Armenia.
“I cannot say that there is specific progress in the negotiations regarding a peace agreement with Armenia. Nevertheless, there are certain messages, and discussions are ongoing,” Bayramov's words are quoted by Interfax-Azerbaijan.
According to him, there are differing opinions in Armenia related to this issue; “there are still revanchist calls within the Armenian society, but there are also contrasting opinions.”
“However, we believe that certain changes have occurred in this context within Armenian society. I think everyone should understand that there is no alternative to long-term peace and the development of the region,” added the head of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
