Azerbaijanis Again Working Against Armenians: Armenian Embassy in Greece on Fake Video
On July 5, a video broadcast by CBC TV Azerbaijan and translated into Greek by the Azerbaijani embassy in Greece was described by the Armenian embassy as nothing more than an anxious attempt to export the political agenda of hatred against Armenians and the longstanding anti-Armenian sentiment prevalent in Azerbaijan to other countries.
The Armenian embassy stated: "The village of Mehman in the Martakert region of Artsakh was founded by four Greek miners, who, according to their descendants, were Pontic Greeks who had escaped genocide. Before the war, Greeks and Armenians lived side by side here, and there were many Armenian-Greek families. In 1992, as a result of large-scale aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabakh, Azerbaijan occupied the village of Mehman along with the entire Martakert region, forcing its Greek residents to leave their homes alongside thousands of Armenians."
