On July 6, during an extraordinary meeting of the National Assembly's Defense and Security Committee, Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan presented a new project concerning the housing provision for officers serving in the Armed Forces of Armenia. According to the new proposal, military personnel who have graduated from military educational institutions and have been assigned positions in the Armed Forces will be granted the rights to receive housing through free use and outright ownership.

“We believe that housing provision will incentivize and make it more attractive for individuals to pursue basic military education through military educational institutions and to choose a career in military service,” stated Papikyan.
