Government Favorite Narek Nalbandyan's Company Fined Heavily
According to the "Zhogh time" newspaper, the company belonging to the government favorite Narek Nalbandyan has recently been fined a substantial amount. The newspaper reported that Nalbandyan's company misled the public by demonstrating unfair competition, which is why it faced the fine.
It became known that the "Project Inter-Invest" company owned by Narek Nalbandyan was selling eggs that were packaged in boxes marked with 10-piece ECO and 30-piece ecoDemonstrator labels, despite the fact that these products are not certified as organic agricultural products. This was classified as a manifestation of misleading the public through unfair competition.
For this violation, the Competition Protection Commission imposed a penalty of 3 million 44 thousand 534 drams on the company. It is worth recalling that earlier this year, the "Shirak" poultry factory caused great concern among producers engaged in egg production as it released eggs to the market at prices lower than production costs. This company was manipulating prices in the egg market. Notably, the Competition Protection Commission had initiated proceedings against Nalbandyan's company for violations in the economic competition sector back on February 8.
