Zelensky Confirms New Defense Support Package Following Call with Johnson
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that he discussed the activation of Ukraine's security guarantees and the unblocking of ports during a phone call with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson. He also confirmed receiving approval for a "new, expanded defense support package."
"I had a conversation with Boris Johnson. I informed him about the situation on the front lines. I received confirmation of a new reinforced defense support package. We addressed the issue of strengthening work on security guarantees," Zelensky wrote on Twitter.
According to him, the parties also discussed ways to avoid a global food crisis and the steps necessary to unblock Ukrainian ports.
