Turkey Will Not Join Sanctions Against Russia, Says Cavusoglu
Turkey does not intend to join the group of countries imposing sanctions against Russia. This was stated by the country’s Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
“Our position is clear; we will not join and will not allow this to be done through us,” the Turkish official stated, adding that the sanctions already imposed against Russia have also affected Turkey.
It is worth noting that EU countries have reached an agreement on the sixth package of sanctions against Russia. Additionally, Lavrov's visit to Turkey is scheduled for June 8.
