Mirzoyan: 'They should have placed the Artsakh flag in the MFA when they were in power'
During the protest action of the 'Resistance' movement, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan described the blockade of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by parliamentarians as a 'shameful show' and 'inappropriate behavior for a political figure' during his question-and-answer session with the government in the National Assembly today.
'The deputies, using their certain parliamentary privileges, entered the building to discuss, I assume, to ask me questions and to hear answers from me, and during that time they exhibited an undignified behavior in the meetings with the deputy ministers. In honor of our officials, they managed to remain fairly calm in that situation, which, of course, does not change the fact that the other side behaved quite disgracefully,' he stated.
Regarding the application of stickers of Artsakh flags, Mirzoyan mentioned that opposition forces had ample time to do so during their time in power, but he does not recall that in those years, the MFA building was adorned with Artsakh flags or that they wore them on their suits. 'The same flag that they tried to place in the foyer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I do not remember them having installed it during their time in power. They should have taken it and placed the Artsakh flag in the foyer of the MFA when they were members of the government or the president,' the minister remarked.
