NATO Allies Discuss Arming Not Only Ukraine but Also Moldova According to Alliance Standards: Liz Truss
NATO allies are discussing the issue of arming not only Ukraine but also Moldova according to alliance standards. This was stated by UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss in an interview with The Daily Telegraph.
“I would like to see Moldova armed to NATO standards, and we are having appropriate discussions with our allies,” Truss said.
She also responded positively to the question of whether this is due to an alleged military threat to Moldova from Russia.
Arming the Moldovan armed forces to NATO standards implies supplying the country with military equipment that should replace Soviet-era weapons, as well as training Moldovan soldiers to operate it.
