Why the Saudi Crown Prince Yelled at Biden's Adviser: 'Vzglyad'
The U.S.-Saudi relations have soured over a number of key issues due to Joe Biden's stance. If the conflict in Ukraine ends with Washington's defeat, the diplomatic relationship between the Saudis and the Americans could be reset, said political analyst Malek Dudakov to the 'Vzglyad' newspaper.
According to Vz.ru, earlier, the Saudi Crown Prince yelled at U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan and refused to increase oil production.
“There are several reasons why the relations have deteriorated. Firstly, Joe Biden has been much tougher on the Yemen conflict than Donald Trump was during his time. Secondly, Biden criticized the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, something Trump never did. And thirdly, Biden declassified documents regarding the September 11 attacks, which implicate Saudi Arabia. But the crisis in Afghanistan was the last straw for the Saudis,” says American political scientist Malek Dudakov.
