If Sweden and Finland Join NATO, Russia Will Do the Following: Medvedev
Russia will strengthen its borders with nuclear weapons if Sweden and Finland join NATO. Russia fully reserves the right to significantly increase troop and armament groupings (including nuclear) in the Baltic states if these two Scandinavian countries join NATO, said Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.
“In this case, it will no longer be possible to speak of any non-nuclear status for the Baltic. The balance must be restored,” Medvedev stated.
