Putin Signs New Bill for Participants of Special Military Operation in Ukraine and Donbas
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a federal law granting combat veteran status to participants of the special military operation in Ukraine and Donbas. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
The law defines the status of veterans and disabled persons of military operations for military personnel, as well as employees of law enforcement and security agencies executing tasks in the territories of Ukraine, Donetsk, and Luhansk.
The financial and economic justification of the bill notes that implementing the initiative will require additional funding from the federal budget, which, according to preliminary estimates by the Ministry of Defense, will amount to approximately 5 billion rubles in 2022.
