Melitopol Mayor Exchanged for Nine Russian Prisoners: Russian Ombudsman

The Russian Ombudsman has confirmed that nine Russian prisoners have been exchanged for Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fyodorov. This announcement was made by the Russian Commissioner for Human Rights, Tatiana Moskalkova.

She noted that the exchange of the nine Russian prisoners for Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fyodorov marks the first instance of such an exchange between Russia and Ukraine. “The first exchange took place; nine individuals, some of whom are from a list being compiled through applications that I have. I have high hopes that we will not delay the matters of lists, cards, and processes,” she stated during Russia Today’s program “Antonyms.”
